Protection You Can Count On

Home

United Security & Police Officers of America (USPOA) was created to tenaciously protect employee’s rights in accordance to the National Labor Relations Act  (NLRA).   NLRA was enacted by Congress in 1935 “to protect the rights of employees and employers,  to encourage collective bargaining, and to curtail certain private sector labor and management practices, which can harm the general welfare of workers, businesses and the U.S. economy” (excerpt from NLRA).

USPOA is an organization comprised of employees who band together to secure favorable wages, improved working conditions, better work hours, and resolve grievances.

USPOA strongly believe in the essence of unionism as we negotiate wages, work rules, complaint procedures, rules governing hiring, firing and promotion of workers, benefits, workplace safety and policies. The agreements negotiated by the union leaders are binding on the rank and file members and the employer and, in some cases, on other non-member workers.
